I thought I would break up the below post rather than make a novel. I feel like making this a sequel – you know, like Star Wars. This post however will be so good, that it will be the first ever sequel with a prequel. I know, I am just so innovative and creative. Anyhoo….
“The music playing on arrival was Coldplay. You know, Middle-of-the-Road genre. Nothing like ordinary music whilst being in the presence of a group of chatterboxes and a dead-despot doppelganger. Album playing now is one of the weaker U2 efforts “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” – a shame they won’t play one of the better albums.
An observation on the coffee at Jet after declining the mega-delicious Procal milk offerings and downing 1 x Double Espresso, followed by an Espresso: Their black coffee tastes exceptionally ordinary. In fact, they are pretty shit. Way too bitter with a horrible after taste. Just not a good coffee. Perhaps they need to run the shot for a second first, then place the cup under the spout – will help to kill that bitterness. Otherwise, I wonder if they back-flush their machines regularly. Folks, stick with the warm-milked coffees here with their Procal milk.
Unfortunately – as usual – the dose up on coffee was not what gets me cracking for a day, let alone this day. I left that to the taxi driver this morning. Looked a bit disturbed (you know, the eyes, the wild hair, and the hunch over the steering wheel) and ready to go at the princely hour of 7.15am. Drove like a fucking psycho with Tourette’s Syndrome. He drove like he were in a Grand Prix by accellerating and braking rapidly, tailgating other vehicles and overtaking the lite amount of traffic at the time. Most every time he neared another vehicle or overtook them, these occasional grunts were made. Reminded me of someone who had Tourette’s for the similar staccato-like nature of the grunt.
Did I mind the ride? Heck no. Was great. New taxi. Quick time. Never felt threatened. Polite driver. Minimal chatter – unlike my driver last week, Jerry from China. Lovely man, but he could’ve really been assisted with a cup of STFU as well.
Now on to the wonderful day ahead of Integration Management, then Scope Management. Yeah!
